Slash taps Myles Kennedy as singer for band
After Slash releases his solo album Slash to the masses, he’ll be taking his new tunes on the road. Since he really can’t sing he’s given that job to Alter Bridge frontman Myles Kennedy.
Kennedy was asked by Slash to join him on the road as his touring band’s singer after Slash played guitar on one of Kennedy’s songs for his upcoming solo record.
“As always, he knocked it out of the park!” said Myles. “They don’t call him one of the best guitarists of all time for nothing.”
Slash made the announcement about Myles via his Myspace page (it is time to upgrade, Saul. Try twitter these days.) “”Myles sang a killer track on the record and I think he is by far one of the best rock and roll singers out there today. I’m really honored and proud to be working with him. I will announce the other band members shortly.”
Slash comes out on April 6. Tour dates will be announced soon.
