Video: The Strokes recording in the studio
It’s one thing to have reports of a band working on an album but when you have video footage of the band picking up their instruments and actually tracking the new record, then you can put your mind at ease.
Up top you can see a video of The Strokes working on their fourth LP at Avatar Studios in NYC. In the clip, they’re working on a song called “Taken For A Fool”. You also see them interacting with producer Joe Chiccarelli.
The boys seem to be in good spirits as they’re constantly joking around, being sarcastic and playing Scrabble. Nothing brings a band together like a good game of Scrabble. Not to mention the video’s narrator Richard Priest seems to point out that the lights come from Home Depot’s “You’re A Star” collection which can be bought on 23rd street in the Big Apple. Good to know.
Julian Casablancas is absent from this video but this is only part 1 of the Strokes behind the scenes footage. I’m sure we’ll see the leather jacket clad singer soon enough.
