After what has seemed like years of waiting (wait...it HAS been years), the OG NYC hipster band The Strokes are back in the studio working on new material.
The band's website posted a picture of Avatar Studios in New York City where the band has been working on their fourth LP since February 1st. They're also working with producer Joe Chiccarelli (U2, Beck, Bjork) and engineer Gus Oberg.

The Postelles releasing new 4-song EP

NYC up and coming rock band The Postelles have announced the release of a brand new 4-track EP called White Night.
The band, which sounds like if you were going to a prom in the 1950's, had the EP produced by Albert Hammond, Jr. of The Strokes. An iTunes edition of the EP will feature a remix of their brand new song "Sleep On The Dance Floor" done by Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor.
