The Flaming Lips going on U.S. tour

We all know by now that the Flaming Lips could be the weirdest and most wonderful band ever. This is proven more than ever in their live shows. Confetti, Wayne Coyne walking over the audience in a plastic bubble, crazy lights and more make their shows not only entertaining but interactive.

Which is why you should find a way to get inside a venue featuring this Oklahoma band. The Flaming Lips have announced a U.S. tour and want all of us to attend. The first show takes place on March 12 in Austin, TX and they’ll go all the way through September 10 for their last show at the Isle of Wight festival in England. In between, they’ll make stops at the Bonnaroo festival and a show in NYC’s Central Park.

In addition to a tour, they’ll be releasing something special on Record Store Day which is April 17. It’s a limited edition vinyl of their version of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon. The CD version will be out on May 4th (via Pitchfork).
