Foo Fighters recording new music in September

Remember when we reported that Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins said the band was going to plan out their new record later this year? Well throw that info in the trash because lead Foo Dave Grohl has said the band will record new music this coming September!
In an interview with BBC 6 Music (via NME.com), Grohl said that the band will start work on their newest album since 2007′s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.
“Foo Fighters have just started writing and we’re going to start recording in September so life is full of music,” Grohl said. That sound you hear in the distance is thousands of fans collectively losing their minds.
The Foo Fighter frontman has kept busy by manning the drums in his new group Them Crooked Vultures which features Josh Homme on vocals/guitar and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin on bass. Jones recently said that TCV plans on recording a new album this summer which would free up Grohl to record with FF later on in the fall.
So we can expect new music from Foo Fighters AND Them Crooked Vultures? I think I need to lie down for a bit. This is too overwhelming.
