Gorillaz are mini-touring the U.K.

With the release of their new album, Plastic Beach, Gorillaz are obviously going to tour behind it. So to kick things off, they’re doing a mini-tour in the U.K. before coming to the U.S. for their Coachella gig.
CoS reports that this tour will be to road-test the “new live band” which may include former Clash members Mick Jones and Paul Simonson (who also appear on the new album).
The tour will kick off on March 21st in Portsmouth and will come to a close on March 27th in Lincoln. The band’s following show will be at the Coachella festival in Indio, CA. Tickets are only available, however, to those that are a part of the band’s G-Club. All the tour dates are down below.
Now if you’re upset that you may not get to see Gorillaz because you don’t live in the U.K. or you can’t make it to Coachella, fear not! The band’s manager has said that the primates are planning a massive tour later this year. “We are doing very few festivals this year. I would prefer to go out and have the band play their own headline shows first,” he said.
