Green Day: Rock Band release date confirmed
So we just reported that Rock Band 3 would make its way to stores by this winter which is news that should make any plastic guitar enthusiast happy. But Harmonix and MTV Games decided to steal a bit of their own thunder by announcing the release date of Green Day: Rock Band.
The game will be in stores this summer on June 8th for the Xbox 360, PS3 and the Nintendo Wii. The game will include 47 songs from the band for you to fake rock out to. There will also be special features you can unlock like interviews and performances.
Personally I don’t know if this was the best move by the Rock Band franchise. After a huge hit with The Beatles: Rock Band, you would think they would try to make their next specialized game with another major band like the Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin. But, with Green Day just winning a grammy for 21st Century Breakdown and getting their own Broadway musical, all the hype is currently around them.
