Queens Of The Stone Age return

With the formation of Them Crooked Vultures, fans were happy to see Josh Homme, Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones team up. But they also wondered what would happen to their other favorite bands these men were a part of.
Well we know that nothing is happening with Led Zeppelin anytime soon. The Foo Fighters have begun work on their next album and now we’re happy to say that Queens Of The Stone Age will be back together on stage this summer.
Our boys at CoS have reported that Homme and QOTSA will play three gigs in Germany this August. One of them will be at the Area 4 music festival along with other bands including Billy Talent, The Gaslight Anthem and Blink-182.
In addition to the new shows, QOTSA plans on re-releasing their song “Feel Good Hit Of The Summer” as a special edition 10″ on April 17th aka Record Store Day (this day should start to look more appealing to you as it draws nearer.)
Plus there’s also the possibility of the band doing a tour soon. Homme said in a recent interview that QOTSA would reissue their self-titled debut album this year and follow it up with a tour where the band would play the album in its entirety.
So if you had any doubts about the return of the band that took the #8 spot on our top ten albums of the decade list, then put your fears to rest. They’ll be back soon. In the meantime, watch the video down below of Josh Homme explaining how important Record Store Day really is.
QOTSA 2010 tour dates:
8/20 – Oberhausen, DE (Area 4 Music Festival)
8/24 – Berlin, DE (Zitadelle Spandau)
8/25 – Hamburg, DE (Stadtpark)
