Axl Rose sued for $2 million

Well, if this actually happens, then I guess we REALLY won’t be seeing any new videos from Guns N’ Roses anytime soon.

Axl Rose is being sued by his former manager, Irving Azoff, for $2 million. Azoff and his company, Front Line Management, filed papers with the L.A. Superior Court claiming that Rose owes them unpaid commissions (via MTV).

Rose hired Azoff’s company to be his personal manager in 2008. There was an oral agreement made that the company would receive 15 percent of Guns N’ Roses profits. Front Line claims that GnR made more than $12 million from touring Europe, Asia and South America.

GnR are still on tour in South America but Rose hasn’t commented on the lawsuit as of yet. But is an oral agreement going to hold up in court? Are they that insane to not have written anything down but instead relied on the honor system?

Oral agreements never work when it comes to business. We heard from Axl for years that Chinese Democracy would come out again and again and what did that get us? 17-years-older and a mediocre album. ZING!
