Arcade Fire to premiere new material at Reading and Leeds

Not only should you be excited that Arcade Fire are playing the Reading and Leeds festival this summer, but you should be jumping for joy that they’re debuting new material during their show.
NME.com reports that frontman Win Butler (it’s Will Butler on their website) send them a postcard detailing their plans for the U.K. festival…people still send postcards?
Butler wrote that the band is “still hard at work” on the new album but they feel ready enough to play them live.
“We’re really looking forward to playing the new songs live,” added Butler, who also said that he feels “like an inventor emerging from his basement after a year’s work”.
In addition to Arcade Fire headlining the festival, other acts claiming the headliner title are Guns N’ Roses and Blink-182. The festival takes place from August 27-29. Head on over to this fine website to get more info and where you can buy tickets from.
