Watch: MGMT – “Flash Delirium”
I continue to be completely perplexed by the music videos that come from MGMT. What exactly does the imagery mean? I couldn’t tell you regardless of how many drugs I was taking.
The band’s new video for their new song “Flash Delirium” from their second album Congratulations also falls into the realm of “WTF?” Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser appear at a mansion for a coming home party for Ben. From there, the what-the-fuckery begins.
There’s old people dancing, a flute solo, Ben’s slit throat begins singing and there’s a machine that looks like a 1950′s incubator and may also have a rectum. Confused yet? Well, watch the video and maybe that’ll help…or maybe not.
Congratulations is out April 13th. The band’s website is streaming the album and the new video as well.
