Watch: Thom Yorke debuts new song

Last night, Thom Yorke’s new band Atoms For Peace kicked off their mini-tour in New York City and I was lucky enough to go to the show.
It was an amazing performance! The band (Yorke, Nigel Godrich, Flea, Mauro Refosco, Joey Waronker) played all of Yorke’s solo album, The Eraser, from beginning to end. Songs like “Harrowdown Hill”, “The Clock” and album closer “Cymbal Rush” all had a new life to them thanks to the funkiness (and blue hair) supplied by Flea, Waronker and Refosco.
Not to mention, you haven’t lived until you’ve seen Thom Yorke and Flea have a dance-off. It gets you pumped.
After playing all of The Eraser, Thom returned to the stage to grace us with a few solo performances before bringing the rest of the band back to close out the night.
One of the songs that Thom played solo was a brand spankin’ new tune that didn’t even have a name yet. Hopefully it ends up on a new solo album, a new Radiohead album or (fingers crossed) a Atoms For Peace album. Check out the new song and the setlist below and be sure to see Atoms For Peace if they come through your town. It’s an insane show.
