Billy Talent releasing fourth album
You have no idea how many Canadians email me on a daily basis asking me to give them some information about punk-rockers Billy Talent. I’ve only heard them on the radio once, and that was years ago with their song “Try Honesty”. But, if the people ask, I must heed their call and give them their info.
Blare Magazine recently talked with Billy Talent drummer Aaron Solowoniuk and found out that a new album called Billy Talent IV is in the works.
“I’m really excited about IV as its going to be really new for us. We are making a big move to a new place to create it and it’s going to be absolutely wonderful.”
No release date has been set but this is the group’s fourth album in their 17-year existence. Solowoniuk talked about how the band members have still managed to get along for as long as they have.
“We just show respect, give each other space and understand each other. We have been together and known one another for so long, that we’re just brothers. Family members have good times and bad times, just like we do. When we have a down time we talk about it and give it space, it’s really not that hard.”
Billy Talent just finished playing a tour with fellow Canadian band Alexisonfire, Against Me! and U.K. rockers Gallows. They’ll be heading to Europe this summer to play a series of festivals. You can see all the dates at their Myspace page.
