The Racontwoers will play Record Store Day

This Saturday, April 17 aka Record Store Day, a performance by The Racontwoers will take place at Third Man Records in Nashville, TN.

No, the spelling isn’t incorrect. Two members of The Raconteurs, Brendan Benson and Patrick Keeler, are playing a one-time performance at the record label. Hence the name “The Racontwoers”. You’ll also get a ticket for exclusive vinyl from the label’s black-and-blue release after the show.

TwentyFourBit reports that the duo will be performing “along with some friends” (it’s not Jack White or Jack Lawrence. They’ll be in California for Coachella) and the Raconteurs debut LP, Broken Boy Soldiers, will be sold as a limited edition copper colored vinyl. But only 300 of them were made so you’ll have to get there early.

You’ll also get the chance to win either Brendan or Jack Lawrence’s go-kart from the “Steady As She Goes” music video by simply buying Raconteurs merchandise from the Third Man store. But Jack White’s go-kart will go to the highest bidder and the proceeds will go to the Nashville Homeless Mission.

There will be BBQ and popsicles to help you celebrate as well so if you’re in Nashville, you should head over to Third Man. The address is 623 7th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203.
