Record label boss hopes Blur will record more songs

Blur fans are excited over the news that the band is releasing a new single for Record Store Day, which is this coming Saturday.
Another person who’s excited is the head honcho of Parlophone Records Miles Leonard. He recently told BBC 6 Music that the song is “an absolutely wonderful summer tune” (via Prefix Mag).
Leonard is hoping that Damon Albarn and the crew will release more music soon.
I just hope that from hearing a song like this that the band feel there’s more in them,” he said. “We certainly do as a label and I’m sure when fans hear this they’ll think the same.”
Personally, I always think it’s kinda shifty when a label boss starts pulling for a band to write more music. I’m thinking he hears the sound of cash registers ringing instead of their song.
Blur’s new track is called “Fool’s Day” and will be released on a 7″ vinyl. Only 1,000 copies will be printed and it will only be sold in the U.K. You can get more info on the record, and a picture of the album sleeve, over at their official website.
