Watch: The Flaming Lips – “Powerless”
The Flaming Lips just released a brand new video for their song “Powerless” and I fear that I’ve been weirded out by these guys once again. I have to shout out the boys at Antiquiet for this find.
The premise of the video is thus. Girl tied up in chair and blindfolded. Monkey appears out of the wilderness and stares and laughs at Girl. Girl starts freaking out and shaking. Monkey still stares and smiles. Girl frees herself from chair and dances with Monkey.
Is there a deeper, more subliminal meaning to this video? Probably but you’re not interested in that. You just want to see the clip so click play up top and do it.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that on Saturday, April 17th also known as Record Store Day, the Flaming Lips will release their full-length cover of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon on limited edition vinyl. Yet another reason for you to go to your indie record store this Saturday.
