Jane’s Addiction announce new shows

Jane’s Addiction have got themselves a new bass player and are working on a brand new record. So why not get out on a stage and try out the new toys?

Original band members Perry Ferrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and new bass player Duff McKagan have announced their first shows for 2010. Right now they’ve only scheduled two gigs but that should lead to a much larger schedule.

Consequence of Sound reports that the first show is on June 9th in Arnhem, The Netherlands and the second is on June 11th in Madrid, Spain at the Rock in Rio festival. Which means European audiences will be the first to catch a glimpse of Jane’s Addiction 2.0 (or is it 3.0? 2.5?) Unless of course you went to Perry Ferrell’s birthday party which means you saw this.

JA is also working hard on their fourth studio album. No word yet as to whether we’ll see a 2010 release but there’s a good chance it’ll happen. I say release it this year and start 2011 off with a bang. Makes sense to me.

Jane’s Addiction tour dates:
6/9 – Arnhem, NL @ GelreDome
6/11 – Madrid, ES @ Rock in Rio Madrid
