New Vampire Weekend coming out this year
Vampire Weekend pretty much kicked off 2010′s year in music with their sophomore LP Contra but it seems as if these boys have more music to give.
Consequence Of Sound reports that the Columbia University musicians are planning on releasing new material later on this year. Frontman Ezra Koenig spoke to BBC 6 Music about the band’s plans.
“Physically a lot of our energy and our time is going to be taken up by touring but little by little we’ll start to do stuff,” he said. “We’ll still be releasing music in other ways, we have a few little things we’ve worked on that’ll come out this year.”
Hmmm? Maybe some EP’s released online with a “pay what you want” system? Exclusive vinyls? Maybe they’ll give it away for free? Whatever the case, new music from VW is always welcome.
