Watch: Gorillaz perform on The Colbert Report
Gorillaz were scheduled to perform on The Colbert Report last night but when Colbert found out he was interviewing Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett instead of the actual cartoon band he walked off the set.
Which led us to a hilarious interview with Colbert’s alter-ego “Steve Colbert” throwing some hilarious questions to Albarn and Hewlett before introducing a kick-ass performance of the band performing “Stylo” featuring Bobby Womack (via TwentyFourBit).
It’s performances like this that make me wish that I could see Gorillaz live just once. The music is tight, vocals are right on target and Bobby Womack? Well he may look a bit lost at times but when he sings his voice just blows you away.
