School Of Seven Bells releasing new album

If you’re not familiar with School Of Seven Bells here’s all you really need to know. They make great music and there’s attractive twin sisters in the band.

The Brooklyn band which features Benjamin Curtis (formerly of Secret Machines) and sisters Alejandra and Claudia Deheza (formerly of On! Air! Library!) are releasing their second LP this summer called Disconnect From Desire on July 13th. If you haven’t heard any music from their first album, Alpinisms, head over to their Myspace page.

This new record was produced by Curtis and expands on their already multi-layered experimental-pop sounds after having played many live shows and learning to connect with their audience.

“From the start, we knew we wanted to make a record that connected on more of a direct and personal level than we ever had before,” says Curtis. “It’s a complete account of our lives this past year, and it’s crazy how taking an honest look at yourself can tell you the most about the world around you.”

SVIIB will play two shows at New York City’s Mercury Lounge on June 9th and 10th and you can get tickets for those right over here.
