Red Hot Chili Peppers recording new album soon

Get ready to let your funk-rock flag fly because the Chili Peppers are about to start recording some new muzak.
Chad Smith recently spoke with Music Radar and gave some insight to what’s going on with RHCP’s new album and working with a new guitarist.
Smith, who’s also pulling double duty as the drummer for Chickenfoot, said that he’s excited for a new record from the supergroup but his main focus right now is on Red Hot.
“Since last October we’ve been working on things, and probably in a few weeks we’ll be going into the studio with Rick Rubin,” Smith said. “Pre-production will take a few months, but I’d say by July we’ll be laying down real tracks. We have a lot of material, probably about 20 songs.”
As for working with new axeman Josh Klinghoffer, Smith seems real stoked to work with him.
“Josh is a real creative force. He’s going to play guitar, he’s going to write music, he’s going to sing and play keyboards,” said Smith. “The guy is amazing. And the great thing is, we didn’t have to go through that whole dating phase that happens sometimes and winds up weird. It’s not like we held these open auditions and got in somebody who we had to figure out. We know what Josh can do and we’re excited.”
But even though the Peppers are ready to rock, Smith pointed out that the band is aware the sound of the Frusciante era won’t be the same with Klinghoffer.
“There’s little nuances and things about his playing that are going to be different, but like I said, he knows the band and we know him. We were already starting from a good point. I think people are going to really like what we do.
“And aside from what Josh is bringing to the band, Flea is doing different things. He’s contributing a lot of piano-type songs. You know, he recently went to school, to USC, and he really learned a lot about theory and playing. If you grow, everybody grows – if they’re open to it, which we are.”
No release date or anything of other importance regarding the new album has been released but you can already consider me excited.

Hey I think the new album is gonna be great. I heard they were gonna have a different sound with their new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. Although John will be sadly missed I think Josh will bring more catchy and youthful vibe to the band. I think Anthony will bring back some of his rapping style to emphasize the lyrics. And I believe Chad is coming back better than ever warmed up from Chickenfoot. And flea.. Well his studied music theory and I believe he is gonna use a new and improved style of base. Sort of like his part in the song “hard to concentrate” I would like the band go a little heavier in guitar and bass heavy as well. And I think Anthony will further improve his voice. He has mellowed with age but I think he’s got that energy of the 80′s and 90′s. Can’t wait on the new album I’m sure it will be great. I really wanna know the title it’s gonna reveal their ideas in songs. You can follow me on Twitter I’m a huge fan!!!! @brandonadkins92 peace out!!

So I’m hearing the chilis are having their album this summer in 2011. And then I heard it’s due by march!! I’m so excited to hear this transformed band. I’m so anxious to hear the sweet sound of another chapter in their music. I get absolutely mad when people say the red hot chili peppers suck.. If they sucked so bad why did they win a Grammy in 2007??? Huh? Yeah that’s what I thought.. Anyways I also heard about Diana Vickers trying to make her new song popular using the tune from under the bridge. Warner brothers is filing a lawsuit (which I hope they win) in hopes of teaching her a damn lesson. Lol I love how people just hate on the peppers but go right behind their backs and embrace their material as if was their own. Glee wanted to do that and I’m glad that Anthony said what he said. Now this American idol bitch is trying to make it big with claiming she was listening to the song when she was writing her “own song” don’t lie Diana.. We all know your a wannabe rock/pop star and we all know you thought you could get away with it. We have ears ya know.. Despite the fact she did all that bullshit and assuming the red hot chili peppers are one of her influences, she will never, let me emphasize NEVER be as good as the chilis. Get a life Diana vickers!!!! As for my fav band good luck on the upcoming album I’ll be waiting for a pre-order to hear another album of this wonderful band. Lots of love to the red hot chili peppers!!!! Ps anyone interested in me and my thoughts can follow me on Twitter @brandonadkins92 I’m a huge fan of rhcp. Thanks, peace out guys…
