Australia is packin’ some serious heat this week as the band Electric Mary from Melbourne is our new RiO! Band of the Week.



This five-piece rock n’ roll outfit may hail from down under but doesn’t draw any comparisons to bands like AC/DC or Jet. They take on a style of their own by incorporating elements of classic rock and melding them together for the modern rock age.

They’re playing Hellfest on June 19th in France with bands including Australia’s own Airbourne, Alice Cooper and Twisted Sister. They’re also in South Africa on June 8th for a pre-World Cup show with Fatboy Slim so these guys are already making themselves known worldwide.
