Listen: Muse – “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)”
Muse unveiled it’s newest song for the newest film in the Twilight saga called Eclipse and I, for one, will not be doing backflips for this song anytime soon.
Consequence of Sound first posted “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)” and it’s basically Muse going above and beyond what they did on The Resistance and teeters on parody. Big vocals from Matt Bellamy, dramatic sounding piano, a driving rock melody. It all adds up to a song that luckily never made it onto one of their albums.
I’m hoping that the band knew what they were doing and consciously went over the top with this song. Knowing what a terrible franchise Twilight is, I’m guessing they really hammed up this song to help highlight the real cheesy parts in the new movie.

This song is just perfect, I close my eyes and the melody goes with the images of the movie…no need for more. Unbelievably perfect.
