Listen: Avenged Sevenfold – “Nightmare”

The new Avenged Sevenfold single has hit the interwebs and it isn’t your typical single.
Coming in at a lengthy 6:25, “Nightmare” is a big song for the band. Featuring Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater on the drums, the song can almost be split into two parts. The break comes at 3:25 when the song switches gears and kicks off with a guitar solo.
The vibe of the song makes me think that A7X wanted to make this song their “Master Of Puppets”. Singer M. Shadows vocals even resemble James Hetfield a little bit throughout the track. You can check it out down below and hear for yourself.
The band’s new album, Nightmare, is out on July 27th.
