I think it’s safe to say that Bret Michaels is one of the unluckiest bastards in rock music.

Michaels had to make a return trip to the hospital “after suffering numbness on the left side of his body, predominately his face and hands which doctors described as a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA) or warning stroke.suffered from what’s known as a ‘warning stroke’” and a hole in his heart, according to his website. This comes after he had been released from the hospital after suffering from a brain hemorrhage.

Michaels’ neurosurgeon, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, said that although the news is terrible, “it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attach (TIA) or warning stroke.” Zabramski also noted that this had no connection to Michaels’ brain hemorrhage.

This comes just after Michaels made an appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s TV show where he talked about his experience in the hospital. Plus, by making his return trip, it looks like he won’t make an appearance on the finale of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice. Although this is going to make for great television for his new VH1 reality show. Housewives are going to eat this up like chocolate mousse.

Jokes aside, I do hope that Bret recovers. He’s already gone through way too much shit with his previous hospital visits. How many times does a guy have to cheat death to prove he’s not dying?
