RiO! Band of the Month – Electric Mary

You’ve seen these guys before when they won our Band of the Week contest but the people decided they wanted more of them. Which is why Australia’s Electric Mary is our Band of the Month for May!



This Melbourne based band are ripping it up down under with their brand of classic rock for the modern rock age. These guys take elements of some of your favorite classic rockers and tweak them a bit to bring us a sound that needs to be cranked up as high as it can go.

Plus, these guys are going global. They’re playing a show in South Africa with Fatboy Slim to celebrate the Fifa World Cup and then will make their way to France to play Hellfest with Alice Cooper and Twisted Sister.     Thank you again to everyone that has taken the time to get on board the Mary train .. As of sept 11th we are officially back on the road with a handfull of new songs in the set.

    As some of you may know recording has started and stopped three times this year :( .. twice in the states and once in Australia .. there is no devious plot to kill off “ELECTRIC MARY” but whatever we release to our fans has to be fucking good .. Bands can be hard on themselves and that may well be the case with us .. we just want to get it right .. thank you to everyone for hanging in with us and let me say we are really looking forward to melting your faces with some new “ELECTRIC MARY”.Rusty
