Rage Against The Machine play victory concert in London

Los Angeles invaded London, England on June 6th in the form of the band Rage Against The Machine for a free victory show in Finsbury Park.
RATM played the show to a crowd of 40,000 after a movement on Facebook began last year to get their song “Killing in the Name” to sell more copies than X-Factor contestant Joe McElderry’s cover of Miley Cyrus’s “The Climb” for Christmastime. So Zach de la Rocha and crew made sure to remember how they even got the chance to have a best selling record in the U.K again.
During the concert they invited Jon and Tracy Morter, the founders of the massive Facebook campaign, and praised their efforts. Also, since the Morters urged all the facebook followers to donate to the homeless charity called Shelter, guitarist Tom Morello said on stage that “not only are they great political strategists, they’re humanitarians, and they inspired Rage Against The Machine to donate 100% of the profit from your downloads to Shelter.” The band then handed them a giant check (via NME).
As for the show itself? The band’s first song was “Testify” and then they powered through many of their biggest hits and at one point even played a cover of The Clash’s “White Riot”. The final song the band played that night was “Killing in the Name” while video screens flashed the message “You made history”.

I adore Lady GaGa. I believe she will be around for a long time. Did you know that she purchases many of her outfits at a resale store? Ya, she really does! I dig her outfits. Of course, she doesn’t purchase all of her clothes at thrift shops, but a lot of her stuff is vintage clothing. She looks great regardless of where she buys her clothes!
