U2 producer Daniel Lanois in intensive care

Prominent record producer Daniel Lanois, who has worked on albums with U2 and Bob Dylan, is currently in intensive care after crashing his motorcycle over the weekend in Los Angeles, CA.
Lanois, according to a press release (via EW.com), “suffered multiple injuries but is expected to be released from intensive care soon.” However his injuries were so severe that he’ll have to spend the next two months recuperating which means he’s canceled all of his upcoming European tour dates.
In addition to being a producer, Lanois also released several albums of his own material. In fact, he recently put together a trio called Black Dub and they’re planning to release a debut album. But, due to the circumstances, the press release says they’ll release the LP, “when circumstances permit.”
We hope you get better soon, Daniel!
