Brandon Flowers releases first solo tune, “Crossfire”

Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is going the solo route with a brand new album called Flamingo and his first single was just released.
The song is called “Crossfire” and I happily thought that he was going to cover the theme song of the intense board game of the 80′s and 90′s that bares the same name. Sadly, though, it was not meant to be. Instead you’re hearing basically what the stuff from the Killers sounds like.
Keyboards and swelling organs, a new wave sound that basically echoes songs from Day & Age. Heck, as far as I know, this could have been a b-side from the album that the band didn’t release. But anyways, if you wanna check it out, then feel free to check it out down below.

I personally really enjoyed it, but I would because I also really enjoy the Killers. It is very Killers-esque and very true to what you would expect to hear from the frontman. But if you like that, then there’s nothing wrong with liking more of it. I just don’t understand why everyone thinks it should sound really “different”? I don’t think he’s made a solo album to sound different, I just think he’s doing a solo thing because he’s got more music in him to make and the band wasn’t up for it. Can’t fault the man wanting to do what he’s good at. And if it’s just not your cup of tea, well…that’s ok too. But if you like this flavor tea, buy the Brandon Flowers brand because it doesn’t disappoint.
