Rock Band 3 features more music, a real guitar

Rock Band is about to give the competition a run for its money when Rock Band 3 is released this holiday season. Not only do you get more new music to play but you’ll be able to actually play the songs on a real working guitar.
Yes indeed, my digital rockers. Gone are the days when you could shred by pushing red-blue-red-green-yellow-yellow-yellow. The third full installment of the Rock Band franchise will incorporate the use of a real six-string guitar that you’ll use in the game. Then, if you feel your skills as a guitarist are good enough, you can plug the guitar into a working amp and rock out in the real world.
Then, of course, there’s the music in the game. 83 new tracks from classic bands and artists like Jimi Hendrix, Queen and The Doors as well as modern and indie rock bands like Metric, The White Stripes and Them Crooked Vultures will be at your disposal. You’ll also be able to integrate all the songs from previously released Rock Band titles and have access to the game’s library of nearly 2,000 songs. To see more of the songs, head over to the game’s official website.
Oh…did I also mention that keyboard players finally get some love? For the first time ever, a keyboard peripheral will be added to the game. So all you keyboardists in bands can finally get in on the action…but you’ll still be neglected and under appreciated by your bandmates.
The game will available for all the major gaming consoles and it’ll be out this holiday season. Check out the trailer below.

The real guitar thing seems cool, but, doesn’t that kinda ruin the fun of the game? I like playing with the 5 colored guitar, because it’s fun! but anyways, it seems like a nice idea but i just don’t know how we will be able to play the notes! I also really like the keyboard function, i think thats pretty cool and the soundtrack is awesome!!
