Interpol releasing new album this September

With all the crap that Interpol has been through recently, it’s good to know we finally get some positive news coming from them.

Pitchfork reports that the band will release their new self-titled album on September 13th through Matador Records. Matador is the same label that released the band’s first two albums, Turn On The Bright Lights and Antics.

The band recently announced that David Pajo will be their new bass player but they’ve added a new member to their gloomy crew. Brandon Curtis of the band Secret Machines will join them on tour and will play keys and sing, according to their website.

The band only has four dates in North America before heading off to Europe to play more shows, some of which are opening for U2. You can see all those dates here.
