Unreleased Soundgarden song debuting on Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
An unreleased Soundgarden song will see the light of day this year. But it won’t be released on CD, vinyl or even digitally. It’ll only be available on the video game Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock.
The song is called “Black Rain” and it’s the newest song the band has released since “Bleed Together” from their 1997 greatest hits album A-Sides (via Rolling Stone). The game will be in stores on September 28th and features tracks from bands including Jane’s Addiction, Muse, Queen, Slayer, Slipknot, Kiss and more.
Soundgarden are playing the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago on August 8th. Perhaps they’ll play “Black Rain” while game footage is played on giant screens behind them? Nah, that’s just me being overzealous. No way they’d do something like that even though both Aerosmith and Paul McCartney did.

You know they actually DON’T want bootlegs of this show..even though there’s dozens of youtube videos floating around that haven’t been taken down.
And..Cameron comes from Pearl Jam. Who actually ENDORSE audio recording! They even have the same management running the stupid official Soundgarden site now.
Strange.
We disappear for 13 years and now, NO RECORDING ALLOWED! I’m sorry you’re so entitled to you’re music guys.
Last time I checked none of you cared enough to continue. Now you’re just riding a nostalgia wave.
Well, prove me wrong. Right good songs and play awesome setlists of songs you never would’ve played otherwise. And not just Down On the Upside, part 2.
