Listen: Sum 41 – “Scumfuck”
Remember when you liked Sum 41? Remember when you couldn’t stop singing their songs about abortions and el caminos? Well…you probably won’t do that with their new song but you can download it for free.
It’s called “Scumfuck” and it’s from their forthcoming album called Screaming Bloody Murder which will be in stores on August 31st. You can check it out down below and if you like it you can download it here. Right now, they’re headlining the Warped Tour where they’re probably playing songs that are a bit better than this one but i’ll let you make that decision.

They didnt even play Underclass Hero.

HAHAH, wow, this is hilarious! My Chemical Romance much?
Could pop punk bands please stop using cliche lyrics about “tragedies” and such?
Why would they do something like this? Derryck said that the album is less poppy and more punchy… this is definatly not more punchy, whatever that may mean anyway… its really more of the same..
Not to be a troll or anything, but they need brownsound back. Its seems as though brownsound was really the driving creative force behind the band. When he left the songs are no longer catchy. Thats all my opinion of course… In my opinion the new guitarist has this terrible tone that really killed it for me. I loved Brownsounds humbucker straight marshall distortion and catchy little riffs. The new guy sounds like he’s playing a strat and an overdrive or something, this totally turned me off to sum 41 when underclass hero came out… of course i was a teen back when they were my favorite band, i still enjoy hearing their 4 albums w/ brownsound. Guess thats my rant about how punk bands are not innovating.

Ok,they said it’s their worst song on the album,and at first they didn’t even want it on the album,but anyway,I think it’s a good song.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about. Okay, underclass hero was pretty meh but that was more of their Blink-182 side coming out, now at least their kicking it up a notch and becoming something harder. After hearing the underclass hero album, i was afraid that they might follow down that pop/rock route, which I’m sure everybody is glad they’re not. So what if it sounds like My Chemical Romance? It’s not like they’re copying them, you have to realize that all songs are going to sound the same or remind you of something else because of all the music thats out there already. All I can say is, that they could have been a lot worse than what they are now. This song is amazing and this album is going to be sick.

The one thing I notice that is different about Sum 41 is they keep changing with every album. That’s something alot of bands anymore former punk bands have done. Taking Back Sunday, Green Day, AFI and alot of others… The difference between Sum 41 and those is it Sum 41 continues to get better… While the others fucking suck.

I like this song, and i think that sum 41 are an incredible band
to all the people who post comments “these guys suck” and “this songs Rubbish” dont listen to it. its as simple as that.

I really like this song, I think it’ a lot better than their last album and it reminds me a little bit of Does this look infected and Chuck. I think it’s pretty good, now I’m actually looking forward to the new album. It still sounds like Sum 41 to me.

I love Sum 41. They do change with every album though.There first album (Half Hour of Power) reminded me of a blink 182 song. Then (All Killer no Filler) was a hit with rock songs with like a hip hop influenece. Then they came out with my favorite (Does this Look Infected) It has pretty much all around good songs of hard rock. Then they came out with (Chuck) a very heavy good album with fast metal solos. Later they came out with (Underclass Hero) a very political album reminding me of Green Day. I do agree the new album (Screaming Bloody Murder) sounds a lot like Mychemical Romance, but its really good. I don’t think it was a dissapointment. With Screaming Bloody Murder and Scumf*ck. It makes it a pretty good album. Dont listen to the negative comments. They are just bullsh*t. You should buy this album if u like Sum 41. Rock on!
