Listen: Toadies – “City of Hate”
If you didn’t listen to the Toadies in the 90′s then there was something wrong with your brainskull.
Which is why I’m real excited that we’re getting a “new” album from the boys on August 10th called Feeler. I say “new” in quotes because the band actually recorded the record in 1997 but their label at the time, Interscope, never approved it. The album never saw the light of day…until now!
Toadies decided to re-record all 14 of the tracks to give us a fresh new sound on older jams. The end result is what we hoped to expect: a rocker. Down below you can check out the song “City of Hate” which, if you’re a fan of songs like “Possum Kingdom,” you’ll instantly like. It may take a while to get used to but when the song finally hits, it’ll be stuck in your head for a bit.
You should also know that you can download the song for $free.99 over at Spin.com. The Toadies’ also kick off their tour of the southwest on July 15th and all the tour dates and ticket info can be found at their site.
