Roger Waters and David Gilmour reuniting for The Wall tour
Most epic reunion ever? It definitely could rank up there.
Roger Waters and David Gilmour will reunite for one show during Waters’ The Wall tour which kicks off on September 15th in Toronto. The news was broken on the Facebook page for the tour when Waters posted a note about the recent benefit gig the two Pink Floyd members played.
Waters wrote that he and Gilmour were emailing each other back and forth about the song “To Know Him Is To Love Him” and whether they should perform it at the benefit concert. Gilmour first wrote that…ah, I’ll just let Roger take it from here:
Some weeks passed with David cajoling me from time to time, telling me how easy it would be, but I clung resolutely to my fear of failure until one day he made one final entreaty. I quote “If you do ‘To Know Him Is To Love Him’ for The Hoping Foundation Gig, I’ll come and do ‘(Comfortably) Numb’ on one of your Wall shows”.
So there you have it. They played the song at the gig and now David Gilmour will perform the epic classic “Comfortably Numb” on stage with Roger Waters for one show. As Waters put it “End of Story. Or possibly beginning.” I like the way he ends that note. Very cryptic but filled with hope. Makes me cry a little bit.
The only question now is which show will Gilmour play? Waters said the Gilmour will decide but I can tell you that whatever show it ends up being, prepare to lie, cheat, steal and possibly kill to get into that show because it’s gonna be the toughest ticket in town to get. You can see all the tour dates for The Wall right over here. Tickets are expensive but if you can still get your hands on them then do so. Like, right now. Seriously.

Maybe if it’s really the beginning of the story, they’ll call him and tour together… And well, let me dream about a new album… But without Wright.

I would like to see the other members of Pink Floyd as well.I wasn’t born that time they were performing as a group.My grandfather is a big fan of their band and i want to go with him watching his favorite rock band.

Sorry David, he’s coming to Tampa….Just kidding, man, I can only hope right? Who knows, something tells me he’s going to play more than one show. We can only pray!

Yes,actually got my tickets ready early before it will be sold out.I know many fans are waiting for this tour,reuniting the two Pink Floyd members.And another great thing,it’s a benefit concert if i’m not mistaken.So,i will be there to watch them.
