Guns N’ Roses headlining Rock ‘N Rev festival

For anyone that was griping about Guns N’ Roses, or the current lineup of random musicians and Axl Rose that travel under the name Guns N’ Roses, over the fact that they haven’t played the U.S. in a good long while, you can put your gripes away.

It was announced today that GnR would headline the Rock ‘N Rev festival in Sturgis, South Dakota on August 14th. The five-day festival also takes place along with the famous Sturgis motorcycle rally, which is the world’s largest collection of bikers and their unattractive women. It’s also the place where Steven Tyler fell off a stage, injured himself and started Aerosmith’s crazy downward spiral.

The festival runs from August 9-14 and features some pretty massive rock bands. Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Eagles of Death Metal, Wolfmother, Hellyeah and more are scheduled to play at the Rock ‘N Rev Amphitheater. Tickets are currently available at Ticketmaster. It’s $45 for a one-day ticket and $150 for a five-day pass and they’ll probably go a lot faster now that Axl is playing a show.

So if you ever needed a real reason to go to South Dakota, this could be one of them.
