Listen: Beck – “Summertime”
It’s safe to say that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is going to be an interesting movie. It’s also safe to say that the soundtrack is going to be quite a good listen since it features new music from Beck. I’ll tell you what not safe to say though; that you want to rape and kill your cousin. I can almost guarantee that’ll never fly with anyone.
ANYWAYS, we have ourselves a brand new song from Mr. Hansen (courtesy of Consequence of Sound) called “Summertime.” The music that Beck recorded for the film is performed by the SEX-BOB-OMBS which is the band that Michael Cera fronts in the film.
It should also be noted that there will be a deluxe edition of the soundtrack that will be available on August 10th, which is the same day the regular version is released. The deluxe edition, however, features more bonus tracks from Beck and a bonus music video. That sounds fun, right? The soundtrack also features music from Broken Social Scene, Frank Black, Black Lips and The Rolling Stones.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is in theaters on August 13th and “Summertime” is streaming on your computer as soon as you hit play down below.
