Rob Zombie to tour with Alice Cooper and Murderdolls

Remember when Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper toured earlier this year as the Gruesome Twosome? They only played seven dates, five in Canada and two in the U.S., but they must have had fun because they’re doing it again. This time, though, they’re bringing Murderdolls along for the ride.

In an interview with 107.7 The Bone’s Nikki Blakk (who, in my expert opinion, is a chick that has a face for radio), current Rob Zombie drummer Joey Jordison dropped the news about the tour. He said that after Murderdolls play the Ozzfest this summer and then “the fall is gonna be [a package tour featuring] Murderdolls, Alice Cooper [and] Rob Zombie for the fall run, which is Gruesome… Well, it’s not the Gruesome Twosome tour now, since the Murderdolls [is gonna be part of the package].”

No dates have been revealed yet as Rob Zombie and Jordison are currently headlining the Rockstar Mayhem Festival along with Korn. It’s good to see that Joey is keeping busy and playing as much music as he can. Plus he’s also the one who just confirmed that Slipknot will release a new record in 2012. The guy is pretty much a rock music machine. You can see his interview with Nikki Blakk below. Just skip to the 8:25 mark to hear about this tour…unless you want to sit through nine minutes of Blakk’s face. Ugh.
