Guitar Hero: Warriors Of Rock is the newest, and most involved, game in the Guitar Hero franchise. It features something called Quest Mode where you play through all of Rush’s epic song “2112.”

The final part of the Guitar Hero story follows the narrative of “2112″ and is even narrated by Rush’s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson. Lee said to Rolling Stone that “In our story, the caves of 2112 are where our hero finds the lost guitar,” and added that “This rediscovery of music is much like the Guitar Hero warriors’ journey to find the Demi-God of Rock’s Legendary guitar, which has been trapped in a cavern.”

Warriors Of Rock features some of the heaviest music to make it into the Guitar Hero library and will even include a brand new song written by Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine and a brand new song from Soundgarden called “Black Rain.” Lifeson says that the game provides “a great way to introduce people of all ages to music of various styles by all kinds of different bands while providing a launching pad for kids who want to get into playing music.”

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will be available for all major gaming consoles and is in stores on September 28th. Check out Rush’s Rolling Stone interview where they talk about the game down below.
