Eric Clapton releasing new solo album, Clapton

Not only is Eric Clapton one of the best guitarists of all time, but he’s also a workhorse. He just announced that he’ll be releasing his 19th solo album on September 28th called Clapton.

Consequence of Sound reports that the album has 14 tracks and features collaborations with artists like Steve Winwood, Sheryl Crow, Derek Trucks, Alain Toussaint and Wynton Marsalis. Clapton described the album as “an eclectic collection of songs that weren’t really on the map—and I like it so much because if it’s a surprise to the fans, that’s only because it’s a surprise to me, as well.”

Down below is the full tracklisting. No word as to whether a tour is happening yet but I’m thinking it’ll happen. Why would he deny us his greatness and be able to promote his album at the same time? He’s a smart guy so I think he’ll hook us up.
