Weezer is taking Pinkerton on the road?

I know a lot of people talk shit about Weezer these days and former fans now deny their love for these guys. But I know, in your heart of hearts, that when tracks from Pinkerton pop up either on your radio or iPod, you can’t help but sing along because this is your favorite album to get nostalgic with.

Which means that, if what guitarist Brian Bell says is true, then Weezer is about to get a huge rebirth in the touring area of their career. In a recent interview at the Mile High Music Festival, Bell sat down and talked about the new album, Hurley, and what it was like to record the album, blah blah blah.

But at the very, very end of the interview, Bell released a few gems of information. First, he talked about a rarities album called Death To False Metal, which he said may be out soon. He also talked about the re-issue of Pinkerton which is on stores on October 5th and then he dropped the bomb. He said, and i’ll even quote him, that “a Pinkerton tour, where we’ll play all the songs off Pinkerton” might take place. He had his fingers crossed for it and everything so if he’s wishing for one, you know for damn sure that we are too!

Watch his interview down below. If you wanna head just the good stuff, then skip to the seven minute mark. Now while all this is exciting, remember that Weezer’s new album, Hurley, is in stores on September 14th.

I saw at MTV.com that they’re doing this and the Blue Album and making it into like a double-tour(?). Rivers Cuomo said that if this happens, it’ll be something like they play the blue album, say oct. 4 and pinkerton oct 5 in the same venue.
