Green Day releasing new live album
With their recent headlining gig at Lollapalooza behind them and their current tour underway, Green Day decided to let their fans in on a little secret at a show in Denver, Colorado on August 28th. That show was being recorded for a new live album they’re releasing so they decided to treat the crowd by playing a brand new song.
The song is called “Cigarettes and Valentines” and you can check it out by clicking play up top. Like most Green Day songs, it’s a raucous three-chord song that will do its best to kick your ass and make you happy all at once. The live album, which isn’t titled yet, is expected to be released later this year to commemorate the end of their 21st Century Breakdown tour.

This song was the name of an unreleased album.
I think Billie Joe says “it aint that brand new, this song’s called Cigarettes and Valentines.”
Anyway, it’s good to finally hear it.

Lucky sons of a bitches that were at that concert. I was at the concert just 5 days before this one. But nooooo he has to fucking wait a work week to play this song. I’ve been waiting to hear this forever. Damn I really hope they release a live DVD with this.
