Watch: Kings Of Leon – “Radioactive”

Kings Of Leon, whether you love ‘em or hate ‘em, are still one of the biggest bands in the world right now. Not even pigeon poop can slow their ascent to rock stardom. Which is why their new album, Come Around Sundown, will sell tons of copies and this new song, “Radioactive,” will get the shit played out of it on radio.
This is their first new single from their forthcoming album, which is in stores on October 19th. It’ll be available for you to buy on iTunes on September 14th. As for the song itself, it may throw off the fairweather fans of KOL who jumped on the massive bandwagon because of songs like “Sex on Fire” or “Use Somebody.” There aren’t any big anthem chant moments in this tune for kids to drunkenly sing along to.
But the song itself isn’t bad. It’s a good first impression and something you can groove to. It’s not a return to their early, raw sound (which a lot of fans wish they’d go back to), but rather a look at how they’re trying to progress their bigger sound. It’s not a massive arena-chanter but still finds that balance between big, brash song and something you could hear them comfortably play in a smaller venue. Click play down below to check it out.

I think KOL is majorly talented no matter what. From the raw country sound to the top 40 hits and now this…they can do no wrong. Good music is good music.

I remember when they were brand new, they toured with U2 and were awful, but after they toured with U2 they really picked it up. This is really good and I’m impressed, they have really turned around. KOL might just be the next big band.
