Watch: Phil Selway – “By Some Miracle”
Since Radiohead drummer Phil Selway released his debut solo album, Familial, that means it had to have a single. So with a single must come a music video, right?
Down below is the video for the song “By Some Miracle.” A dark, acoustic track, the video reflects the almost eerie tune with some pretty crazy imagery. We see a young man with a brick attached to a rope which is tied around his foot. Young man throws said brick with rope off of a roof. Uh oh. Suicide attempt, right? Sure…until the last few seconds. Watch it and see what I mean.
As for Selway, he’s still got quite a few tour dates left throughout Europe. One can only hope that he’ll come to America to play a few shows for audiences that are sure to go and see him. Granted, they may all be Radiohead fans hoping for Thom Yorke or Jonny Greenwood to make a cameo appearance, but it would still be cool to see Selway up in front of the stage playing to crowds in an intimate setting. Ohhh damn that is brilliant. Love that dark edge. Will definitely buy his album. I thought the sudden turn of events at the end was a bit of a let down though. Didn’t seem like there was enough of a motive to kill the ice cream dude. But whatever. Great song and video!
