Watch: Wayne Coyne prints a poster with his own blood
OK…we all know The Flaming Lips are some weird fuckers that make some grand music. But the video up top takes the what-the-fuckery of the band to a whole new level.
Lead singer Wayne Coyne takes four vials of his blood and prints one poster of their performance from Austin City Limits with it. This isn’t a Halloween prank of any kind. The man’s blood is the reason one print of the poster exists. At one point, he even goes Jackson Pollock on the poster and sprays excess blood all over it. Now why would he do something like this? To sell it to one lucky fan.
A bidding will soon begin on the bloody print but no other information about it has been revealed as of yet. But to know that one person out there will have Coyne’s DNA presented in a very unique fashion is intriguing. Maybe a scientist that’s working on cloning will win the poster and proceed to build an army of Wayne Coynes! They’ll take over the world and our only hope will be a small asian child named Yoshimi who has a black belt in karate.

I don’t care that’s motherfucking art and as an artist I would love to own that, but also try that. I wish I was able to make it to Austin last weekend (a 3 hour drive) but tickets soldout
