Looks like Velvet Revolver are getting back together

It’s safe to say that if there are any fans of Velvet Revolver left, their patience for the band to actually do something has been hanging on by the thinnest of threads. But it’s possible that their patience may have been their biggest virtue as Slash recently gave his biggest update on VR’s activities so far.
Over at his Myspace page (why do artists still use that site for updates? It’s like using morse code) the top hatted guitarist said that the band “is back together jamming, trying out singers.” But, just like before, no singer has been chosen.
Slash goes on to say that “it’s great to hook up with Duff [McKagan], Matt [Sorum] & Dave [Kushner] after all this time,” adding that, “The creative juices are definitely flowing. I’m positive something awesome is going to surface soon.” Now while much of this may seem very general with no real added specifics, at least we know that the band is getting back together. Plus, Duff left Jane’s Addiction to go back to VR so that has to mean something, right?
In other Slash news, he also said that he’ll start touring again in January with shows in the U.S. followed by Asia, Australia, South America and then Mexico. He also wants to throw in some UK and European dates permitting Alter Bridge’s schedule since his singer is Myles Kennedy. He’s also currently working on new material for another possible solo release. At least the dude is trying to stay busy and not rest on his laurels.

How is this even news? No offense, but the news with VR has always been that they’re jamming and looking for a singer. How long can they seriously keep up that kind of anticipation? I’m just gonna stick to listening to newer bands like Heavy Glow and Night Horse:)
