New album from Guns N’ Roses coming soon?

Remember who we all had to wait a reeeeeeally long time for Chinese Democracy to come out only to realize it wasn’t that good? Well it looks like we won’t have to wait as long for Guns N’ Roses’ new album and the non-promotion Axl will put behind it.
At the Call of Duty: Black Ops launch party in California, GnR guitarist DJ Ashba said to Artisan News Service that the band are “throwing around a bunch of ideas” for a new album. “It should be good. We got a lot of good stuff on the plate coming out,” he added. Ashba also stressed to fans that the album “won’t take as long” to make this time. Now while I’m sure the band members want to get this ball rolling as quickly as possible, it’s hard to have hope about this. Axl can’t even make it to a gig on time and he wants to release a record soon? We’ll see…
Other exciting news for Axl devotees is that the band are touring in the U.S. next year. According to Ashba, GnR will be “back here in the States doing a States tour in February.” So it looks like the band will finally give their home country a chance to see them live instead of making us travel around the world.
You can see Ashba’s interview down below. You should also know that GnR will be performing in Australia starting December 1st and Ashba will play the national anthem at a Kansas City Chiefs game on November 21st.

Well I bloody hope so. They said that the third album as part of the Chinese Democracy trilogy will come out some time in 2012. You would have thought that they’d release a second album by now, allowing for some time to write the third one.

lets hope this has some real gnr members on it instead of those fucking dirty mexicans

When i first heard DJ was gonna be on GNR i felt bad for him, people are judgemental just for the fact that he’s not Slash. Ashba is one of my favorite guitarists, and something i didn’t like about him being on GNR is not being able to see him play his own stuff, adding his own style, force to play the same old GNR songs over and over. I hope this album comes any time soon, I would finaly like to see some of Dj’s original work for a change, even if i would rather hear something new from Sixx: A.m. from him rather than a new GNR album. I’ve seen many of the things he has produced and some of his old bands and they’re all amazing, he’s not just energetic and charismatic but most importantly, he’s really talented.
I think Slash is overated, and even if that really shouldn’t affect what people say regardless his talent, he’s a bit of a sellout. I understand someone needing money, but working with Riahnna? really? after listening to Rockstar 101 i lost any sort of respect i had for the guy.
