Are the White Stripes ready to return?

While all of Jack White’s fans should appreciate the music he’s put out with The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather and all the albums that have come from Third Man Records, many are still waiting for the return of the dynamic duo, The White Stripes.
Well, thanks to an interview that White did with Vanity Fair magazine (via Antiquiet,) that return may be sooner than we think. The article talks about a new White Stripes box set which includes a turntable, headphones and cases to hold your WS vinyl records. But once White finishes plugging the product he drops some info that’s most pleasing:
We thought we’d do a lot of things that we’d never done: a full tour of Canada, a documentary, coffee-table book, live album, a boxed set. It was one long project that took almost three years. Now that we’ve gotten a lot of that out of our system, Meg and I can get back in the studio and start fresh.
Even though White doesn’t drop an exact date as to when he and Meg will get back together, it looks like all systems are go to break out the red and white outfits again. So have a ball and a biscuit, sugar, and pray that a new White Stripes record is Jack’s next big project.

Agreed with Sean. Seriously. I love his other two bands, but the White Stripes easily take the cake when I think Jack White. All of his bands are in my top ten bands. It’s crazy how everything Jack White does finds it’s way to my favorites.
