Watch: Bruce Springsteen plays Jimmy Fallon

I know we don’t talk much about Bruce Springsteen on the site. Mainly it’s because, even though i’ve lived in New Jersey for 10 years, I was never really that big of a fan of The Boss. But after watching him last night on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, I may have to change all that.

Up top is video of how the show started. Fallon comes out and does his damn good Neil Young impression while singing Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair” only to be joined by Springsteen halfway through. It could possibly be one of the best moments in late night TV for this year.

Following that, the entire show was all Springsteen. He was the only guest as he was promoting his new box set, The Promise: The Darkness on The Edge of Town Story, and did a full interview and played two songs from the set. Did you guys know that he wrote the song “Because The Night?” The song which was Patti Smith’s only hit and would find new life as a dance song by Cascada originally came from Springsteen’s guitar. He also played another song from the set called “Save My Love.” He was joined by members of the E Street Band including “Little” Steven Van Zandt as well as The Roots.

Down below you can watch both parts of the interview and his two performances courtesy of The Audio Perv. Take some time to watch today and find a new respect for how awesome Bruce Springsteen really is.
