Slash wants Myles Kennedy to sing on his next album

Slash has made it very clear that his new favorite singer is Alter Bridge’s Myles Kennedy. Kennedy was the guitarist’s singer during his solo tour and also appeared on a few tracks on his debut solo album. Now, Slash wants Kennedy to be the sole vocalist for his next album.



Speaking to The Sunday Mercury (via Noisecreep), Slash, who is also currently holding the lead guitar position in Velvet Revolver, wants to make it so Kennedy is the only singer on his next album. These two have had a relationship that has been blossoming for a while. Slash even appeared with Alter Bridge in Europe to play their song “Rise Today.”

Many people think that Kennedy would be a good fit as the new vocalist for VR. But in a new interview with MusicRadar.com, Kennedy said “I was never officially given that offer. I think it was floated around, it was mentioned, and it would be a huge honor because I think the guys in Velvet Revolver are tremendous.” Meanwhile, Alter Bridge are kicking off a short North American tour on December 14th in Pontiac, MI.     I don’t know what to make of this, Back From Cali was a great song, but the album was good because he went to multiple artists instead of a single one person. Hopefully most of these songs will be like Slash and Myles Kennedy featuring whoever instead of just mostly Slash and Myles Kennedy.
